Looking for a easy way to layout a PLC panel other than getting the DWGs from AB's web site. Are there any software packages that may have an easy drag and drop? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have never used the software but ePlan seems to do just that. Seems to be easier than Autocad Electrical in the sense of “drag and drop”.

Another option is Solidworks Electrical. The cost is about the same as Eplan. Really good option if any of the mechanical designs are in Solidworks.

Had a demo of ePlan last week. For panel building it certainly was as easy as drag and drop. Also had information about device spacing requirements so you couldn't get that wrong either.

Most manufactures have uploaded their library to ePlan's portal.

Don't get me wrong haven't used it yet!
