I want to test a plc program that i have programmed, now i do it with simulator from Siemens Step7 but that is not so easy because when an output becomes high i most changes a lot of inputs and i always forget something to do so this way of testing is not orderly. I have heart that you can couple visual basic with the simulator but i dont know how to do it? I hope then that i can represent some movements, changes from inputs and so on in visual basic from the machine where i wrote a program for.

Hi Wim,

you wrote
..now i do it with simulator from Siemens Step7...
I assume you talk about 'PLCSIM'? If so, there is a way
to connect VB<--> PLCSIM . Look into the directory
'PLCSIM'-->S7MANUALS-->S7WSI at 'S7WSPMSB.PDF'
This is the decription for a OCX-Control provided py PLCSIM.
The name is'S7WSPSMX.OCX' and you can import this in VB as
S7PROSIM CONTROL.

HTH

Rolf
