Alternative Siemens SCL builder

Do anybody know if there is any alternative to the siemens scl builder?
We got the regular S7 package, and I assume we do have to get Professional one, to get the scl addon.

Would be nice if there was a free tool with compiler so I could import the blocks into S7 or something.

No, there is no free compiler. You can edit SCL in any text editor, but not compile.

You can purchase SCL by itself, without having to upgrade to STEP7 PRO. But to my opinion PRO is a better deal.
