Has anyone had success in replacing the membrane keypad of an HMI? Specifically, I would like to repair several Mitsubishi E200, E1022, and Beijer Exter K20. A few years ago, I bought a couple of E1022 keypads on ebay. The quality was poor- it did not stick to the metal frame very well, and operation of several keys was intermittent. These were made in China, and nowadays there are lots of Chinese vendors hawking their wares on ebay. lso made there. Maybe quality has improved, but I'm hesitant to try again, unless someone can instill some confidence in me. Ideally, I'd like to find some leftover originals, but I think that's highly unlikely. Thanks!

I would contact teamsesco for the work.
we used them to repair plc's, I/o boards, comms cards, displays at my last job and the price was reasonable.
they stand behind their work and we have had only 1 issue and they fixed it, no questions asked. 1-800-48-SESCO
teamsesco is a vendor and I am not associated with that company.

I would look for the complete fronts although probably a little more expensive.
I know at one time BPX (who are Mitsubishi suppliers) used to supply the membrane but for some reason they then supplied the complete front. The Beijers was re-badged for Mitsubishi until Mitsubishi decided to drop them in favour of their GOT series. The E series are obsolete so I would think the OEM supply may be limited and in that case the Chinese may be the only option.
You could try these:

I found replacement keypads at http://www.essentialautomation.com/ They are excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Remove every trace of the old adhesive with mineral spirits. A toluene-based solvent is recommended by the vendor. Try to get your new keypad centered right to left, as it helps fit the glass slide in front of the display better. You get only one chance to stick it on, and it sticks quite well.
