Exclamation Intrinsically safe RFID Readers?

Hey, does anyone have any experience with such a device? I need to have an RFID reader set up in one of the paint booths we have.

Thanks!

No experience working with these, but as far as intrinsically safe goes, you can't go wrong with Pepperl+Fuchs.

I second the above, P&F are a very helpful company to work with, and their documentation and support is great.

Not the cheapest option, but worth it.

before you start looking, you need to look at the power requirements of the rfid reader and its specifications. intrinsic barriers have power limitations.

the second thing to look at is the location of what you are trying to read and its location from the paint booth. there is a distance limitation in the nec70 codebook for paint booths. see the 500's section.

regards,
james
