SEIMENS STEP 5 related stuff............

can somebody plz explain the me what is the significance of following,
i mean what they do in PLC related matter..

stuff extension
1rogram file -> ......st.s5d

2:XRF file

3:symbol file -> ......zo.ini

4:sequential file -> ......zo.seq

5:SYSID file -> ......sd.ini

6ath file -> ......AP.INI

7:doc file -> ......su.ini

one more thing

what does interface-AS511 means?

plz elaborate it as easy u can plz......

3:symbol file      -> ......zo.ini generate from z0.seq



4:sequential file  -> ......zo.seq Symbolic sourse



5:SYSID file       -> ......sd.ini



6ath file        -> ......AP.INI

what does interface-AS511 means? Protocol/TTY-connection

plz elaborate it as easy u can plz......

You need at last bolded files for packup. Plz use hlp for more information with Step5.

Just a FYI...any .ini file is a initialization file...ie a reference file where a program looks for certain settings.

To know many standard computer data format types look at this:

.seq in the old days referred to Atari, for plc's and todays computers it refers to sequential files.

.xrf refers to cross reference files...this also is a computer standard.

The others seem to be part of the program used for the plc.
