I've been doing Modbus for 20 odd years but almost never do I have to use a slave simulator. Until today.
I used Peak HMI's freeware RTU slave simulator to view data written to it from Modbus RTU master and it proved the master was doing what it was supposed to be doing.
It is nice in that it offers all four floating point word/byte formats, so you can easily pick which of the four gives a valid value.
Thanks for freeware.
