Prosave decoder software

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a scetchy piece of software called DecoderProsave.
I saw it being mentioned a couple of times on this and other forums.

I know it's been made by some Russian programmer and it should be able to extract tag lists and some other data from a Siemens Prosave image.

The websites that claim to have it available for download are a mess and most of them are just looking for credit card data.

If someone can send me a copy I would be very thankful.

Andy

The problem is that tool is protected by packer being detected as dangerous by antiviruses. So use it at your own risk.

Hello Schtiel, thanks for your reply

Yes I am aware of that, I will run it in a sandbox or just use some obsolete laptop for it.
Could you send it to me or do you know where to find it?

Best regards,
Andy

I havent heard of this tool and i would be sceptical of this tool because it is of dubious origin and is also old so unless you have an old panel i would say it is probably not compatible and if it was actually any good would surely be a commercialised product

At first an OP7, so yeah pretty old. I'll make sure trying won't hurt anything.

I'll post the results.

If you like, send your prosave backup and I could send a text file of its findings. I don't want to post it because of the issues above. I put it in a self-contained VM.

@ Sigmadelta, thanks for the offer but i already fixed it.

I ran it on an old laptop in XP compability mode and it did everything it promised. No sign of it doing anything scetchy, but who knows.
I now have a lot more info to rewrite the software on a modern panel, most useful being the pointer array and messages.

It seems by the way it can only work with OP7 psr files.

Schtiel, thanks again for sending me this program, it has proved very useful.
And offcourse big thanks to the guy who created it! You should write a modern version, that would be awsome.

Best regards,
Andy

You've got mail.

For everyone else who has been asking for it since the beginning of 2021, my apologies, I didn't visit the forum much while logged in, so I didn't see all the private messages.

I've send you a download link. Gmail does not accept .exe files.
