Activation On VM

Hello Friends;
I am new with Virtual Machine. I have V 10 Machine of RsLogix 5000 and my Host computer have a win 7 64 bit OS.
There are two options
1. Is there any way to install Version 10 of RSLOGIX 5000 On window 7 64 bit?
2. I f i installed a VM with Win xp Sp3 then is there any guide line to activate the software on VM?

Rockwell really hosed their site... I tried several methods for sharing the article and none work.
Search for the number that dmroeder gave, or for an article titled "Sharing Software Activations on Virtual Machines".

You can set up a micro lan between the two. Add a Loopback test network adapter to both computers (VM and host) and set their IPs to the same range but one you don't commonly run into..

I used 172.16.31.1 and 172.16.31.2, then have your VM use the IP of the Host's Loopback adapter for its license server source. This way the VM will look at the host for its license, and it doesn't depend on you being connected to a network.
