i need to show active heating curve (let's say 10-20 points, temperature and time) on OP connected to 314/315cpu, i was working previously with op170b and text versions only, using protool/lite....

- is this possible using OP270 (upgrading to protool) ?
- is this even possible with any other simatic OP?
(like those wincc only)

i don't want to make crappy view from bars or single widthet lines ... ;-)

thanx

Hi Marius.

From OP/TP170B and up trend curves are possible.

You need to add a "Trend View" in the Protool project.
It is not simple to explain, but also not so complicated.
Have a go at it, and come back here if you have questions.

Hi,
I'm programing OP170b at the moment and have to say, that trends are possible here. You can't use trend trasfer (block of values) and trigger the trend curve. It is only real-time scan. You can set the frequency of sampling and how many points you want to have on the OP170 .
Transfering a block of data or trigger the curve is possible from HMI OP270 upward.

yes, i meant non-realtime recorded curve, like Alfbox saying 'triggering curve'... so 270 would be my choice

thank you both

Marius,
I think it would be more reasonable to buy WinCC Flexible Advanced. You need it for new Simatic OPs and it is possible and recomended to program OP/TP170 upward with this programming tool..
Look at ebay.de.. sometimes you get it half the MLFB price.
Cheers

Well... if i count that price of upgrade from protool/lite to protool is about 700EU, than 1750 for wincc does not look so badly

ebay is also interesting hint, i'll need to learn more about it first

cheers

Wait. You only need Win CC Flex "Standard" to program OP270. You can always buy a power pack to upgrade to "advanced" at a later time.

edit: This is a sidenote, but before you go for Win CC Flex you should know that it requires a hefty PC. 3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, and a big screen (not so important for a project with OP270 I know).
Not a problem with most stationary PCs, but you will find that most laptops are ill equipped to work with Flexible.
