Hi, I ususally work with Siemens S7 300 and 400 PLCs, I purchased S7 216 with EM 231 for a small project, does anyone have documentation on configuration of these modules, there is dip switches and I cannot find any information on those. Thank you

Hllo siemenssurplus;

Here is the EM231 dip-switch comnfiguration, extracted from the S7-200_e.pdf manual (download it from Siemens' support website):

Hope this helps,

Analog modules are not configured in MicroWin. The addressing just gets tacked on.
First EM231 AI0, AI2, AI4, AI6
Next EM231 AI8, AI10,AI12,AI14 etc

If your online you can go to PLC->PLC INFORMATION and the addressing of I/O will be laid out as well as a description of errors etc.
