CX-Programmer won't allow on-line edit

When I'm working online and click on on-line edit button, I get message saying "there has been a communication failure or this operation cannot be performed in run mode".

Could someone help me understand how I can do on-line edit?

The PLC needs to be in monitor mode.

I somehow mixed up "PLC monitoring" button with "Monitor mode"
