Hi,

I am curious if some of you may be able to explain to me the difference between the PowerFlex 700 with

Vector Control and PowerFlex 700S. I know of instances of both having been used for almost identical

applications. Another engineer once mentioned to me that the 700S is better in winder control application,

but couldn't really explain why.

Hope you guys can help.

The S-for-System drive is much more complicated and powerful than the standard drive. You can use it with a DriveLogix controller cartridge, giving the controller direct memory access into drive tuning and command parameters.

In general I don't recommend 700S drives to users who are not drive system specialists.
