CompactLogix L18 Date and Time

I am using GSV for Wall Clock and created a controller tag to get the Date and time values. When power is removed from the processor I loose the current Date and Time. How do I retain the date and time when power is removed?

Are you using firmware version 20? I've upgraded them to 24 or higher and it seems to get rid of the problem.

Yes we are instructed to use version 20 from a customer

I had to update the firmware version on the 1769-l18 controller. it was 20.14 and I flashed it to 20.19. This resolved the date defaulting back to 1997 when power is cycled.

It had been a while since I had a chance to use an L1X on a project. But I just used an L18ERM on a project running V28 and it didn't have the clock issue. Looks like it got fixed late in V20, though. I was a little early before I guess.
