I built a trainer with a 5/01, 1747-AIC, 1 quartech 9601 PB/SS station and a 9701 message display. I connect with a 1747-PIC. This network works fine.
Now I was able to pickup a 5/04 with a 1761-net-AIC and a homemade 1747-CP3 cable. With the old setup in linx I can see all four devices on the network. But with the new setup I only see the PC and the SLC. The other two devices have a red X through them. The nodes are the same on both networks. The PC is 0, the SLC is 1, the 9601 is 2 and the 9701 is 3.
I changed ch. 0 to DH485 and run with the pic driver. Both quartech devices are DH485. I connect the PC to net-AIC port #1 with the 1747-CP3. Port #2 goes to the SLC using a 1761-CBL-PM02. And #3 connects the DH485 from the old AIC to the net-AIC DH485. I've checked the archive and the AB site. I've been working on this for a couple of days, I know I'm missing something.
