Hi everyone, though plc is not related to my job, I'm interested in learing Allen Bradley SLC500. I installed program to my ML1000 and fixed slc500 processor, now my question is, how to link them? I mean in my laptop, I want to see both plc. How to do this? what devices I need to buy? Please help, Thanks in advance.

In order to do it the RIGHT way, you will need 2 NET-AIC modules, that can make your serial ports into DH-485 ports..... http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/2711-um014_-en-p.pdf

Below is a link to the 1761-NET-AIC manual

(Not worth spending the money on these units in my opinion for a home project)
(There are ways around this, but it is not the "Rockwell Intended" method......

There are plenty of documents on this topic, just do some searching for AIC, DH-485, etc.
If you need further help, there are many out here.......
