More speeds on allen bradley 1305

I have an allen bradley 1305 vfd that is currently in use with a slc 500 and provides two speeds by closing relay contacts with the plc on 15 16 and 17
They want more different speeds from it. I thought of putting resistors on it using relays on the pot terminals. Is there a better way ? http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/1305-um002_-en-p.pdf

You can have up to 7 preset speeds, selectable via those 3 inputs. There is a programming chart explaining it on page 5-29.

The alternative would be to just use an analog output in the PLC to give the VFD a speed command signal at whatever speed you want.

Hey thank you. I had seen the presets but i didnt understand how to use them
Now that u verified they can be used, i will concentrate on that and see what i can do.
The whole thing is kinda old and the pres of the company decide he wanted to try this and that, so i gotta come up with something.
