Stratix 8000 has no firmware on it

I was going through our storage area and found a Stratix 8000. I could not find an IP using an IP scan tool so I consoled into it. it appears there is no firmware on it. at switch prompt, if I type sho run it returns: Unknown cmd sho, same goes for conf t, returns Unknown cmd conf .

is this a large paperweight now or can I load firmware on it? I know I can send it in to Rockwell but cost might be prohibitive vs new switch.

I guess that is why it was hidden in our storage room
