Hello everyone,

I am an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing facility. There are multiple LANs here. Are there any recommended wifi adapters to attach to your laptop to connect to multiple wifi networks at once?

Regards,

NeilM

Following - I'd love to find a single USB-Wifi adapter that supports multiple connections. I have used multiples of the single USB-WIFI adapters with success; the inexpensive ones from Amazon, no specific brand. Found this link The 9 Best Wi-Fi USB Adapters of 2019 in a google search. The TRENDnet TEW-809UB is of interest.

I do not advise connecting to multiple wifi networks at the same time.
you could create a circular loop and bog the network down to the point it shuts down with traffic.

you can create multiple wifi connection points on your laptop and connect to the specific one you want.

we have multiple networks here over the entire plant. each has its own purpose. cell phone, guest, plant, and several others.
each has their own password.

Thanks James and jstolaruk.

To James, in such a scenario, will a simple disconnection of the laptop to LAN be sufficient to bring the network back to operational levels or any other procedures/software required?

To jstolaruk,

In order to use these external wifi USB adapters with the laptop's internal wifi card, is it necessary to use a software like Speedify?
