Problem Connecting with Micrologix 1000 L16AWA

i was trying to replace ML1000 A16awa model but while trying to communicate using RSLinx it is not doing auto configure and it gives out message as Check cable or switch settings, and i even tried to it by setting some default values but it was not establishing the connection.
can anyone suggest me any other way to connect.
i used RS232 driver in RSLINX, and 1761-CBL-PMO2 cable

any help appreciated
