Omron Cpm1a

Hi,
I have recently purchased an old Omron Cpm1a plc to practice on. I have a version of syswin that does not require a licence to program these plcs. My issue is that syswin will not speak with the plc.

The plc came with a programming cable and drivers which I believe are installed correctly but still no communication.

Can anyone help with this issue please?

Running Syswin will require Windows XP or earlier. What windows OS are you running?
A serial port will be used to communicate to the PLC. Do you have a serial port on the computer or are you using a USB to serial converter?
You mentioned cables. Do you have the CQM1-CIF02 cable?

I am running syswin from a Microsoft tablet, windows 10, it seems to load fine and I can create programs. the usb to serial cable came with the plc. I am going to double check the drivers for the cable as they may not have installed properly.
