Hello Everybody,

I'm having a problem with derived tag in FactoryTalk View Studio v5.00.

I created a new derived tag file, and the following expression is assigned to a tag:

NOT {["shortcut"]@isPresent}

With a macro, at startup I send the command:

DerivedOn "nameofderivedtag"

and the error message that comes out is:

"Unable to start expression evalutation"

and the Derived tag is not started. I verified that the tag exist and that the diagnostic command "isPresent" exist. The shortcut is connected to the PLC and the tags are readed.

Someone know how to fix it or why this problem occur?

Thank You

what you mean with:

Are you trying to start via the acual tag name?

Anyhow, I'm using the comand:

DerivedOn "nameofderivedtag"
