Hi All~
I have a case (designed by my boss But he has left the company)
Please refer to the attached picture
https://photos.app.goo.gl/B5p644LUx65B6tkj9
CompactLogix 1769-L30ER(Master)→EtherNet/IP→YASKAWA MP3300→MachatroLink→YASKAWA Motor (4~6 axis)

Send:Servo Position、Speed、Cantrol Commands
Receive:Servo Position、Speed

Is this design feasible?
first,How should I do it?
Does anyone have an example?

If we don't use this architecture(don't use YASKAWA MP3300)
Can we use the AB PLC to directly control the 4~6 axis absolute servo through communication?

Which kind of PLC and module to use?
Does anyone have an example?

I'm still pretty new to AB PLC programming

Welcome to the forum.

I was also proposed to use MP3300 as a 'slave' to a compactlogix. I spent 2 days looking through Yaskawa manuals before I made the decisision it was not possible. Maybe it is, but if so I didn't find out how.

Going forward, if you are in america you can buy the sigma compact 7 and use AOP.

Outside america use https://www.yaskawa.com/products/mo...6-8fc1-4a66-875f-fbf64073d4f3_Models38Ratings and change the firmware and it will behave like the compact version.

I have downloaded the AOP and installed ok, now I am waiting for the rest of my hardware.

Good luck!

The MP3300iec can certainly be controlled via Ethernet/IP, but you will need to make a custom application program in the 3300iec. Depending on what you want to do, using a version of the SigmaLogix drive will be easier. At that point, the Yaskawa drive essentially looks like a Rockwell drive to the PLC.

What he said.

Thank you all~

Dear the_msp:
sigma compact 7 not sold in Taiwan
so.....Still using mp3300

Dear Highland Controls:
We using mp3300 not mp3300iec

Using:
Power Supply & Base Unit Rack:JEPMC-BU3304-E MBU-304
MP3300 Machine Controller CPU Module:JAPMC-CP3301-1-E CPU-301 (16 axes)
EtherNet/IP Communication Module:JAPMC-CM2304-E 263IF-01

Now I download yaskawa MP2000 - EtherNet/IP EDS File
can not add new module in rslogix5000
"at least one connection must be configured for this device"
