Looking for a big Text Display

Dear Folks,

We are using S7-300 CPUs in our plant, the management is asking to get the machine data displayed in a big text display(to be visible from the office which is located at the mezzanine level).

I'm looking for a text display(may be like the Data Liner DL20 that is manufactured by Allen Bradlley).

I would prefer to get a one that has a parellel input strobe so as to avoid complex communications.

I think the Digital Marquee line from Exor Electronic R&D will fit your bill. It uses simple BCD coded digital inputs to select pre-configured messages.

I have a bunch of these around the plant:

All the multi-color variety, and I generally either send them strings serially or with one of the gateways from http://www.rtaautomation.com/ for Ethernet I/P or Profibus.

The prices are listed on the page there, but for my 2 line x 20 multicolor it's just under $1000US for the display.
