Hi guy's im trying to figure out how to turn an encoder signal into a speed reference or a tachometer in slc 500, has anyone done this? im using an ab micrologix 1400 a pf525 drive and my encoder makes 500 ppr, I want to convert these pulses into rpm's or in/min. I want to tell a 525 drive through messaging in slc 500 to run within a speed window, the speed of the material im measuring increase as my take up roll gets larger so i need to dynamically decrease speed on the fly.
