Dear friends,
My Fuji Electric PLC CPU: NP1PS-74R need to be changed the battery.
The battery is located in front of CPU module. Should I turn the CPU power off in order to safely replace the battery? Can somebody send the link of its instruction manual please. Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Benyamin

You need to get the manual and read it BEFORE changing the
battery. Most PLC's say to keep power on - as in if the
battery is removed with no power the PLC will lose its program.

But the manual is the definitive answer.

I have Siemens PLC's which the battery is changed under power.
And an Allen Bradley where one must remove the PLC module
(power it down first) to change the battery. (It has a capacitor
to keep the program alive while changing the battery.)
