about communication between PLC S7 1200 plc and new KTP 400 HMi

Reported Issue : Siemens HMI does not Communicate with Siemens1200 PLC.

Sequence Of Events :
Checked status of HMI and PLC and found that comm error on HMI.
Programm of PLC uploaded . HMI prg cannot be uploaded.
PLC and HMI programs upgraded to new version .
Even after upgradation no communication possible between HMI and PLC .

Communication tried with our brand new Siemens HMI and Old PLC .
Still no communication.

What type of communication? Ethernet or Profibus?
You must add the address manually into the HMI.
