I moved my Shopbot and the only problem that I had was a broken proximity sensor. I found a replacement sensor https://www.valinonline.com/products/bi8-m18-ap6x-h1141 that would work but I'm not sure if I need the NPN or the PNP version? There's no clear identifiable markings on the broken sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can always resort to using a relay in series to switch the polarity if needs be.

Automation Direct has a few combination PNP/NPN models that might work.

And their prices are low enough compared to the Turck model you linked to that Bright676's suggestion is viable.

PRT models have NPN, normally open - https://www.valinonline.com/products/bi8-m18-an6x-h1141 . PRS models are PNP, normally closed - the sensor you linked.
