1794-AENTR Firmware

Hi Guys,

Just observe something regarding the V30.01 Studio 5000 software I'm using. The 1794-AENTR firmware available only on the configuration is 1.xxx. I've read somewhere that 1794-AENTR w/ thumbwheels for IP address settings are series B and should have a firmware of 4.xxx. I've check the 1794-AENT firmware and the available is 4.xxx.

Should there any problem if I maintained the firmware of the current AENTR devices to 1.xxx? Currently, the system is working with no errors.

Generally if you leave the electronic keying at "compatible module" (as shown in your screenshot, which is the default selection), it will work with no issues.
 
I've had to update the AOP's for logix 5000 to get items available previously. I'd imagine studio 5000 has a similar process?
