"TOP Server" is also out there as a choice for an "OPC / IO Sever". As I understand...It uses KepServerEX (developed and sold by Kepware)....it is just rebranded.

"Top Server" is sold by "Software Toolbox"

"Software Toolbox" also has some really nice add-in apps for most HMI/Scada software systems.
What they have for Wonderware is really nice. They just released the software that performs queries on the *.LGH history files.

Regarding the inventory system you will want to find out if you are interfacing to a database. Kepware offers an ODBC driver for interfacing to various databases.

Hey, i actually now using kepware. I wanna read and write data from omron PLC using serial communication to siemens PLC using kepware. But, the serial communication is converted using serial to ethernet converter. I dont know what kind of communication driver should i use in kepware. Have anyone done it before?

Your post is not really that clear, first of all, I assume if using Kepware you have a PC running this, is it serial to ethernet or ethernet to serial. for example you can encapsulate the 232 in the ethernet then send it to a ethernet to serial converter. you mention send data to Siemens, not sure if Kepware can pass data between PLC's my version is a little old normally, you have some form of client to manipulate the data.
however, assume you are reading data from an Omron via 232 through a 232 to Ethernet serial server then you can encapsulate it within Ethernet see picture.

Yes i have PC running. It is serial to ethernet. I havent tried to send data to siemens tho. My concern now is reading data from the omron. I actually read the data from an omron rs485 to ethernet serial server. Yes i should have. Thankyou for your kind replay. I'll try to encapsulate it
