I've just been looking into why a red light comes on, on our blending plant and discovered that the bit that triggers it is latched (OTL ) in 76 diffrent rungs is this a world record (fault finding is unreal)

Well I don't mean to brag but I competed in the "Simatic Find Info Games" in the winter of '86, got a bronze in abstract thinking class !!

there was only one world record set that year, by a AB Engineer for different ways of programming the same Traffic Light, 952 different programs if I remember correctly, of course the Irish AB specialist received the lowest honour for a one line program to switch a light ON, It read "Switch On" > Light On. very complex..

Jezz...good news!!!

I think I can narrow it down to just 1 of 3 issues for you:

1. Absolute inexperience.

2. Determined ignorance.

3. Malicious incompetence.

(On the part of whoever "programmed" it....this was the same guy who said, "stupidity got us into this mess, why can't it get us out?)
