ignition SCADA help

hi all
i'm new in ignition SCADA and i want to try it using trial version
i want to try it with M340 plc
i create the device and now i want to create tags in the Scada but i didn't know how to create the tags and how to put its address
and how to link this tags to the objects

section 2.1 implies you will need to use an OPC server to connect to Modicon M340. Or Modbus.
