FIX32 7.0 Math Function

I am using Intellution's Fix32 7.0 HMI and was wondering whether anyone can help me in getting additional mathematical blocks as options on Fix32.Fix 7.0 doesn't have any math blocks for trignometric functions and I am badly in need for the same.Please help..

It's been some years since I have been working with FIX Classic but are you really sure that the Calculation Block in the FIX database does not have these functions? The way I rememeber It had some trogometric functions,

Ok, I was wrong about the functions in the Calc block. It's been three years since i used FIX.

Two ways to solve the problem if you don't get a hold of mathematical blocks(I doubt there are any).
* Let the PLC do the calculation If you have a good PLC with trigometrical functions in it. Pass data back and forth in registers to the FIX realtime database.
* Write a VisualBasic or C .exe programs that does the calculations and passes data to the FIX database using dll functions in EasyDataBaseAccess or maybe DDE.

Thanks for the attachment.But could not find any operators which I can use to realize trignometric functions in that.I am particularly interested in getting the arc tan function.If there is any solution in getting around this,please assist....

and regarding the second reply,I assume we can make use of the eda.dll
in fix32 to realize a visual basic software to make the math function.The problem is that the project that I am currently working urgently need this function.


Please advice....

How about a DDE to and from EXCELL.

GE Fanuc(Intellution) have special BTK toolkit for development additional iFix database blocks. http://www.previse.com/public/products/components/clc_block.htm
