PanelView 550 Font File unavailable

In this particular PanelView 550 app, the External Font File is enabled to be Arial.
[(Application Settings 550)-->(External Fonts tab)]

After the app is downloaded, if one selects "run mode", an error message is produced:
"Font File unavailable. Font error = 12"

According to the "Help"in Panelbuilder32, External font files are only supported on terminals running version 3.0 or later firmware. Terminals with earlier firmware require an upgrade.

For this particular Panelview550 the Terminal Info page shows:
Boot version 02.07
Firmware version 04.06
Hardware HWCFG TS P0.232 555.5
Fontfile Arial

So this Panelview should support External Fonts. ....Any ideas ?
