And that right there, is the crux of why I think that very few people on this forum are going to side with you in most of your arguments.
Well, the "support" I'm saying is overrated is that which comes from the vendors of these "programming-in-a-box" systems. It's largely a money-grab, and something we've never had to deal with here.
I differentiate that from the support people on this board are providing, which is building (and in some cases maintaining) system solutions for customers. That's value-added stuff.
But I'm also guessing - by the looks of the posts on this board, that there may not be many here who have even *seen* custom solutions - except for conversion projects to "programming-in-a-box" systems. So, I wasn't expecting much feedback.
