I am trying to barcode scan 5 cartons and then combine them into a group to send out to an Access database. The database recognizes an askerisk to separate them back out. Each barcode scan uses 16 ASCII
characters plus some additional characters for other information for a total of 12 words.After the group has been sent I need to clear the data and start a new group. I am using a Prolinx DF1 to ASCII port expander that uses the DF1 port in System mode. This will not allow me to use the port in ASCII User Mode, which adds another problem. Can anybody point me in the right direction on how to build a ladder to do this? I am using the standard RSLogix500 software.
