1756-L61 Controller Serial Port freezed

Hi Guys,

Anyone of you experience that your controller serial port hang all of a sudden after you go online.

RS232 LED status indicator turns from blinking green into solid steady green. Fail to re-autoconfigure the RSLinx DF1 driver, it shows failed to read baud rate setting etc....and I can never reconfigure it at RSLinx.

Btw, I experience this at 1769-L31 CompactLogix controller serial port as well.

Guys, any suggestion ?

Since it's happening on two different controllers, I would try a different serial converter on your PC.

As for RSLinx working once and then not wanting to have anything to do with that PLC again, I was experiencing the same thing on a SLC 500 the other day. I just created a new driver and used it instead.
