My current project has a Simatic S7-1200. It involves a robot with two different tools. Each tool has their own Profinet I/O-devices with different addresses and configurations. Changing tools involves disconnecting and connecting Profinet for the tool in use.
How do I handle the system errors that eventually will occurs during tool change, and operating with "missing" I/O-devises? Which OBs do I need to consider? Is it any different from S7-300? I have worked a lot with S7-300, Profibus and classic Step 7 v5.x. This is my first experience with the TIA portal and Profinet.
