Hi,

I am using FactoryTalk View Studio SE and using the Alarms and Events Summary included. I am logging alarm events to SQL Sever Express 2008. My problem is that when events are logged, they are timestamped incorrectly. They come in with a timestamp 5 hours greater than the event happened.

I.e. if the event happened at 3:30PM the timestamp in SQL would say the event happened at 8:30PM.

If anyone knows of a setting I am missing please let me know.

Hi,
The Eventtimestamp in SQL gets the time from PLC that is a UTC time not Local time on your Server or PC. But if you use objects in FT such as alarm and event summary, log viewer etc. You will get local time because it is converted from UTC into Local time. You can see date/time of PLC in RSLogix5000 and Controller Preoperties dialog box, on th Date/time tab.
