stepper motors and e-stop

++++ whatever number you need it to be. You "shall" preform a risk assesment per ANSI, OSHA, RIA..... "SHALL" is their way of telling you ,you will do this. If you don't do a risk assesment and show associated risk and a mitigation path then you can be help criminally negligent. Just a little FYI.

Emergency stops are not a protective safety function that are complementary protective measures.
