Factorytalk View Studio Download

I just ordered a copy of Factorytalk View Studio ME from my Rockwell supplier. I am told it will take upto 2 weeks for the disks to be delivered. My supplier gave me a temporary 30 day activation code, and said I could download the software online. I could not see on the Rockwell site where I could download it, and my supplier is closed for the day.

Does anyone have a link to the download site?

You'll need a software Serial Number to get the download; that's how RA validates eligibility. I have not worked with the temporary activation files yet, but I think that the serial number of the software is embedded in those *.LIC files just like any other.

Open the *.LIC file in a text editor and look for a string like "VENDOR_STRING=2xxxxxxxx BORROW=2160 \". That first number is your Serial Number.

I received an email from the Temporary activation group that had the serial number and product key that I am supposed to use for activation. When i entered the s/n in the software updates page, it came back as a number that wasnt in the system. The email also stated that temporary activations arent covered for support, and any questions should be sent to the distributor. I will call my sales rep in the morning, hipefully he can get it working for me.
