SENTRON PAC3200 and CompactLogix
Hello, guys.
I have a SENTRON PAC3200 connected to CompactLogix L30ER. It has an IP address, it's set to Modbus TCP and now I need to read some values from it. Problem is - I have zero experience with SENTRON and the same amount with Modbus, so I need some pointers how to read for example voltage or current. Any suggestion, like manual, or step-by-step instruction or program sample? Thanks in advance. |

Here is the manual for the Sentron PAC3200. 3.9.2 Modbus TCP This will list the addresses needed to read the information and the format that they are in. http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=88357 https://rockwellautomation.custhelp....ster-and-slave The above are links for L30ER Modbus TCP. Here is a great introduction to Modbus TCP. https://www.rtautomation.com/technologies/modbus-tcpip/ I hope this helps you out. Regards,

Many thanks, got the sample code from RA site, imported it into the program and now I can read something. Not sure what exactly yet because of different data format, but that's already no big deal.
