Exporting a number to Excel From Factorytalk View SE

Is there a way to export a value to an excel sheet without using VBA?
I would like to write a single 8 digit number to an excel sheet (location H7)

And read five values back from an excel sheet into Factorytalk View SE.

I have read that thread before, but I believe the VBA is beyond me...
Is there any other way than script?

I think I will try to get the Excel sheet to talk to the PLC instead.
Then write the values to Factorytalk via the PLC.....
