communication modbus

Hi I have a situation with a plc 1100 to be able to read it with modbus a meter shark I want to configure the input to plc and I can not and the command to read.i have windos 10 in my pc
I am a beginner in that world

I am assuming that you have the above equipment.
This is either using Modbus ASCII or Modbus RTU. These are both serial communications but can be confusing because the Shark has a RJ45 connector.(Modbus TCP)

It would help to know what exact models of equipment you are working on. Please also include what you have programmed (parameters) so far and what result you are getting. This will help in assisting you.

I use this modbus client software from ICP to send modbus command, they have modbus rtu/ tcp client tool. I believe it is free to use, good for beginner.
