Wonderware Information Server Backup Error

Hi Guys,

I have a problem in backing up my WIS.

When I try to backup, a popup will appear:
"The Information Server backup/restore operation has encountered an error.
The Wonderware Information Server Cabinet file Creation Failed. Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a Com component."

That is also the error in the SMC.

I also found same issue with my backup. Do you had any good luck to resolve the issue ?

This is a known issue that has not been addressed yet. Go to where you want to save your backup and create the file manually with notepad, using the same name that you want your backup to be, ie InformationServerBackup061219.CAB
When you go to do your backup, choose that file and everything should work correctly.
