MicroLogix 1500 and Ultra 3000 Servo

I have a new application that involves the use of an A/B MicroLogix 1500 with an A/B Ultra 3000 Servo. I am going to be using the PTO outputs in the 1500 to control the Servo Drive. I have never used a PTO function or a Servo drive. Any information would be a great help.

Your best bet is to contact your local AB distributor and ask for their motion specialist. He should be a weatlh of information, as well as having example programs with different motion moves/indecies (indexes?).

This is rather odd - if this is so

how did you come up with this decision

Frankly, it doesn't make any sense.

Just what are you trying to do?

Thanks for everyone's help.

For my comment to Gerry's remark:

I am going to be controlling a grinder. This machine has a grinding two grinding rocks on each side. The grinding rocks move into the part depending on certain settings from the operator.

Believe me this was not my decision! Frankly! I am sure there are a lot better solutions for this application. On the other hand you probably know how customers are. Some of them think they know more about automation than they really do. When a customer insists on using certain products then you do whatever you can to accomodate that.
