MicroLogix 1000

Ive got a Micrologix 1000 that im am trying to use as a bench tester but its current setup has a password protect on it and no one here knows that password. I tried the Hyper Terminal trick but could not get it to communicate. Does anyone know how i can either reset the password or just clear the memory from the controller?

If you can establish communications with it, you may be able to download a blank program to remove the password and clear the memory. If not, try a firmware flash.

Sorry, its a 1000 so you can flash it. You have to enter 65257836 (MLCLRMEM typed out on a keypad of a telephone) as the password. You have to have RSlogix500 V 3.01.09.01 to 9.05.01 EXCEPT 6.00.00. No versions after 9 support it according to knowledgebase article QA1358

My Logix500 is version 11. They 65257636 does not work. Nor did the 65257836. Any other options?

Won't work w/ any version past 9.05.01.

If you can, get an older version of Rs500 to try it with.

You can still download RSlogix Micro Starter lite for free which works with the 1000 and 1100 series.

But it cannot be installed on the same operating system as full license of RSLogix 500, it would need to be installed on a VM or you would need to uninstall the full version.
