Page 19 just mentions "module location" under general specifications. That could be an error. Notice it doesnt mention the TB on that page, and yet the TB is the one that is mentioned everywhere else. Perhaps it's an issue with both the base and the firmware.

No, The 1734-IB8, OB8 and OW4 are not compatible with the 1734-TB3 or TB3S bases.
- Since the TB3/TB3S RTBs internally short the 4-5 and 6-7 connections together, any module that has unique signals on [4, 5] and [6, 7] should not used.
- TB3/TB3S will short the Z to Z Ret, and Out 0 to Out 1 signals together.
