hi

i wish to know how to use a siemens micromaster 420 drive for dc brakinge of an ac induction motor.. i know the parameters that need to be changed but i also wish to know the detailed concepts behind DCbraking and as to how the optimum dc braking current can be obtained etc. . also i wish to know is there any need for any additional hardware for dc braking with micromaster 420.

also i wish to know whether frequent dc braking has any adverse affects on the life of the motor.

thanks in advance

regards
