Got a 2080-LC30-24QWB with 2080-SERIALISOL card hooked up to a Modbus slave device. MSG_MODBUS instructions are working fine. I am trying to set up Modbus Mapping but it does not seem to be working.

For example: when I read from register 30002 using a MSG_MODBUS instruction I get some valid data. When I set up a Modbus map entry with variable name = x and address = 30002 I get nothing. x is always = 0

I have been reading every plctalk.net thread, AB technote, and manual I can find but I'm not sure what I am missing here. Can anyone shed some light? Does Modbus mapping actually work with the SERIALISOL card or is this only for the built in serial port?

Regards
